Wowsers you get through a lot of books and a lot of life!! Really nice to hear what is going on behind the scenes for you, love the sound of tufts of tea, what a great title btw! Also scattered minds! I’m right there with you, having the same path I think with my daughter who has now been referred and I am too as there were just so many similarities! Can highly recommend ADHD for smart ass women podcast, it’s blown my mind and my whole life and the way I think is now making much more sense! ❤️
It's so interesting isn't it - I've been going through the ADD stuff with my daughter and thinking..er..hello!! I'll look up that podcast, thank you. I'm not far into Scattered Minds yet but I'll let you know how I get on with it. It's all about making sense of my mind - will I finally start to understand why my brain works the way it does after 50 years?!?!
I’m so glad you’ve been ok to write such a lovely long piece today - thank you Emma - you’re always a wonderful, inspiring read!
I love the sound of your books and look forward to reading both, but your second book especially appeals.
I also grew up with the odd (occasional not weird!) Irish story - from your mum and dad!! I lived a couple of doors down from them and remember having to sit with your mum when she was expecting Brenda, and had strict instructions to run and get my mum or dad if she started going into labour.
I remember eating your gorgeous mum’s amazing soda bread that she had made - it was divine! And I remember your lovely dad being such a beautiful soul.
I knew Brenda and Brian well - we played together every day in front of our houses. Such fabulous memories.
The last time I saw your mum and dad, was sadly at my fathers funeral, and by this time I not only had two grown up children, but was also a granny for the first time!
Lovely memories, so I’m really looking forward to reading about your stories and memories of Ireland.
I married an Irishman (from Northern Ireland) so I’m sure I’ll recognise the stories of water from the well and cleaning out the grates - which I adored doing!
All that aside Emma, I hope you are really resting as much as you can and are making sure you have your healing ‘down time’.
Thank you for your lovely words this week! Take care of yourself and sending you love and hugs 😘❤️
Oh my gosh, Susan, i was just telling Emma that you were the coolest person I knew as a teenager because you went to David Bowie's last gig as Ziggy Stardust and got a piece of his silver boot! How are you?? Give my love to Anna and your mum xx
I well remember climbing on the stage and ripping that silk boot off Bowies leg! I nearly got killed with the amount of people that jumped on top of me to rips piece off!
I will say hi from you to my mum and Anna, but as I mentioned to Emma, I ready would love to keep in touch with you both and hear all about your amazing coaching business - well done to both of you!!
Yes I am!!!!! Although I’ve been Miller for the last 36 years! I was so overjoyed to read your work Emma - I d remember you as this beautiful bright little spark, but I’m not sure if you’d moved to Raynes Park by then!
I really hope we can keep in touch - and I love to with Brenda as well!
Oh it is so delightful to connect with you!!! I have just messaged Brenda!! I know I didn't live in Kent but I have such fond memories of you and Anna and your mum & Dad. Such beautiful souls, all of you. I remember you as such a stunningly gorgeous and effortlessly kind young woman. I literally have a sunflower picture painted by your dad in my hallway. I heard so much more about you all from Bren & Bri (and my parents obvs). Bren said you were at Ziggy Stardust's last gig and got a piece of David Bowie's boot?!?!! That's a story I need to hear. We will ABSOLUTELY keep in touch!!! Much love Susan x
Thank you!! OMG what a treat you have in store. Will be interesting to see which series you prefer, although they are both excellent. Can't wait to hear what you think! x
Thank you Suzy, and thank you for what you have created. I have done many writing hours over the past year or so, and something about yours is so special, I am committing to making it part of my week, every week. It's very special. I feel the congrats on my book are premature (but thank you!!) and I will keep the faith. I really look forward to meeting you one day (Storyfest 2024?!) x

So it seems!!! Great I will try and focus on actually finishing it as I'm obviously reading 5 books at once! 😂

Thanks so much Louise, that's really kind of you 💕
So insightful! The tea book sounds so so incredible. 🫖 one we all need to read! ✨
Aah thanks Claire - I'm at the initial 'explosive' stages of writing it which is a wonderful place to be. Much tea will be drunk along the way!! 💕🫖
Oh that stage is my fave fave stage!!!
Me too!!! It’s so free and exhilarating. Writing with wonder and without editing!! 🤣🤣
