I love this soooo much Emma! Such beautiful amazing memories that you have created, I feel like I was there with you and yes to The Charlatans one of my all time faves. I’ve only ever been to one festival, I think it was Leeds. I went with two friends who I met whilst I was travelling. I got separated from them and spent the rest of the night with random people until I amazingly found our tent. Not sure I would repeat, but glad it’s something I got to do. It was definitely an experience!

Ah thanks so much - honestly seeing Tim Burgess rocking his stuff was like transporting back thirty years - they were amazing, and because they're not 'popular' any more we got to get really close to the front without being squished!! It was brilliant. An experience like you say - I think I'd do more if I could afford to glamp!! So many memories made πŸ’•

I bet it was magic! I saw them at Rock City in Nottingham it must have been at least 10 years ago. I think my camping days are over, I like my home comforts too much!

Well, having spent two years working for the Mean Fiddler Group 93-94, I got to work at two Readings, a Phoenix and a Finsbury Park. The best things were the VIP passes and staying in hotels - no mud and hideous toilets for us!! And always a hot shower!! Highlights were standing on the main stage at Reading behind the drum kit when the Red Hot Chill Peppers were headlining in 94, watching Neil Young at Finsbury Park in 93. Lowlights were getting my nose pierced at Phoenix festival in 94, which promptly got infected and getting into a screaming match with a plastered work colleague at 3am accusing me of stealing her tequila (I was asleep and I hate tequila!)! But it was a different world then, the crowd was definitely mid twenties and upwards, and it was a very chilled and sociable vibe. I love watching Glasto on TV but I think that as as far as I would go these days. xxx

I remember you doing that (and I reckon I can guess the work friend!!!). That's def the way to do it - hotels and VIP. Brilliant experiences to have had, and Glasto on the TV is epic, but I think I might have got a tiny bit of festival fever!! x
